The Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for managing procurement processes, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations, and optimizing supply chain operations. The role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing procurement budgets, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services to support operational efficiency.
Some Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire procurement process, from requisition to contract management.
- Identify and source reliable suppliers for goods and services.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
- Conduct market research and supplier evaluations for cost-effective procurement.
- Negotiate contract terms and pricing with vendors.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Diploma in Procurement, purchasing and supply, or a related field.
- Membership with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS)
- Minimumof Five (5) years of relevant work experience in a similar position.
